At Salotto21, the creative space in the heart of the city on Via dei Benci, you can experience this fascinating artisan technique firsthand.

Salotto21 is an elegant Florentine "living room" divided into four spacious rooms, each dedicated to discovering a traditional Tuscan art and craft: from leatherworking to perfume making, and, of course, paper marbling.

The Marbling Workshop Experience

The atmosphere of the Salotto21  is an an intimate and welcoming setting in the center of Florence

The experience takes place in a setting that combines artisan tradition with the hospitality of a home living room, guided by expert and patient master craftsmen.

The Magic of Colors on Water

Participants learn how to make colors float on a specially prepared liquid bath, discovering how to combine pigments without letting them sink.

Shaping Decorative Patterns

Using combs and sticks to create fluid geometries. Traditional tools such as combs and awls are used to trace unique shapes, giving life to patterns that evoke marble veining or intricate abstract geometries.

Printing on Paper

A unique, one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home. The sheet of paper is gently laid on the surface to capture the design in real time. Each creation is a unique piece that holds the magic of the artisan's touch.
